October, every year

Wellbeing sessions for Mental Health Awareness Week.

The Mental Health Foundation of New Zealand runs Mental Health Awareness Week each October. Workplaces plan the week around simple, shared activities. A managed wellbeing session with trained dogs is one of them: a handler brings the dogs to the office, and the session plan covers access, timing, and participation.

Why workplaces book a session for that week.

A wellbeing session runs in your own space, during work hours, with no venue to book. Employees pat the dogs, chat, sit nearby, or keep working. Participation stays voluntary.

02

Timing.

The Mental Health Foundation publishes each year's dates at mhaw.nz. Nushy Co runs a limited number of sessions that week. Name the week in your enquiry and Nushy Co confirms availability in the first reply.

03

One contact, one written plan.

One accountable Nushy Co contact plans the session with your organiser. A written plan covers access, participation, and dog-free alternatives, and a handler manages the dogs on the day. The planning guide lists what belongs in the workplace agreement.

A wellbeing session is a workplace activity. Confidential, professional support belongs with your EAP or health provider: see how a session fits alongside an EAP.
